About

The Damien Alumni Association (DAA) was founded in 2010 to structure a network of support for Damien Memorial School through the Alumni.  The DAA is a 501(c) Non-Profit organization, EIN 45-4103667.

The Mission Statement of the DAA states:

Damien Memorial School has guided students from all walks of life toward becoming responsible, respectful and community-minded citizens prepared to excel in higher education and take on leadership roles in our society. As an alumni association, we will uphold and honor an Edmund Rice Christian Brother Education and the principles imparted through the selfless service of Saint Damien of Molokai. Viriliter Age is our motto and strengthening Damien Memorial School is our mission.

The Latin term Viriliter Age has a special meaning for the vast number of men that have graduated from Damien Memorial School. Although translated to mean "Act Manfully," the meaning signifies a desire to be the man god intended you to be.

St. Damien and the Irish Christian Brother embodied the essence of Viriliter Age and as an alumni association, the motto is a beacon for alumni to come together as one in support of our alma mater. The current President of the Damien Alumni Association is Class of 1999 Graduate, Ronald Malalis.
